DHS and DCS Systems

Robust and reliable design for stable fixation

of fractures of the proximal and distal third of the femur

DHS and DCS Plate Characteristics:

The DHS and DCS PLATE from Surgival is a modular system provided in a sterile format that offers surgeons a wide variety of hip plates and sliding screws. It is a simple and highly versatile option for safely approaching multiple types of hip fractures in the distal and proximal thirds of the femur.

Specifications

  • All the components  are fully made  with high mechanical resistance Stainless Steel (ISO 5832-1).
  • The number of holes in the plates has been optimised  based on their lengths without compromising mechanical strength. More fixation points with a single incision
  • The angle of the  Ø 4.5 mm  cortical screws for plate fixation provides better precision in the screw insertion direction for medial fragment fixation.
  • Anti-rotational design: the design of the internal surfaces of the tube and the sliding screw is designed to avoid screw rotation within the tube and prevent rotation of the cephalic bone fragment.

The TUBULAR PLATE system from Surgival features the following components:

DHS (Dynamic Hip System) PLATE

The SELF-COMPRESSION PLATE for HIPS from Surgival:

  • It has an external sandblasted surface finish and internal drum polishing for optimum dynamic performance of the sliding screw, also polished to gloss.
  • Available in the following angles:  130º, 135º, 140º, 145º and 150º
  • The range of plate lengths varies from 46 mm to 270 mm, with a varying number of holes to accommodate Ø 4.5 mm cortical screws
  • It is available in 2 drum lengths: 25 and 38 mm.

These variations make it possible to respond with the most appropriate variant or model of plate depending on the position and distance to the fracture site and the patient’s femur size.

CONDYLAR TUBULAR PLATE 95º

CONDYLAR TUBULAR PLATE from Surgival:

  • It has an external sandblasted surface finish and internal drum polishing for optimum dynamic performance of the sliding screw, also polished to gloss.
  • Available in a 95º angle
  • The range of plate lengths varies from 100 mm to 292 mm, with two holes for  Ø 6.5 mm cancellous screws and a varying number of holes for Ø 4.5 mm cortical screws.

SLIDING SCREW

Surgival SLIDING SCREW:

  • It has a glossy polished surface finish and internally cannulated for insertion guided by internal rod of Ø 3.2 mm for greater efficacy and operational safety.
  • The thread profile design employed provides good resistance to migration in cases with low bone density.
  • The front edge of the cutting wire engages quickly, with or without initial tapping, and provides tactile control that can be felt by the surgeon during the final positioning manoeuvre.

COMPRESSION SCREW:

Surgival COMPRESSION SCREW:

  • Features a shiny polished surface finish.
  • Available in two lengths: 25 mm (SHORT) and 35 mm (LONG).
