Karey Revision Stem Characteristics:

Karey Revision Stems Surgival  specially designed for revision surgeries. The quadrangular section design and lengthening of the distal portion stays in line with the philosophy of the Karey Primary Stems.

The progressive trapezoidal geometry  enables optimal adaptation of the stem and both anti-translational and anti-rotational fixation that provides perfect primary stability while preventing the hip prosthesis from sinking.

Revision Karey HA Cementless

• Made from Titanium Alloy (Ti6Al4V).
• Hydroxyapatite spray coating  (130 µm) that provides a porous surface with excellent biocompatibility and generates an ideal structure for bone growth.
• Two  orifices for anchoring and tensioning the trochanter region.
• Metaphyseal semicircular macrostructures: increase the contact surface, preventing sinking and providing an antivarus effect.
• Longitudinal grooves: Increase bone–implant contact surface, preventing rotation, reducing distal rigidity with respect to the metaphyseal portion and improve diaphyseal vascularisation of the femur with the prosthetic.
• Distal opening that reduces implant rigidity and improves prosthesis adaptation to the curvature of the femur.

Cemented Karey Revision C

• Made from Titanium Alloy (Ti6Al4V).

• Uniform geometry: when joining the anteroposterior and mediolateral faces, this reduces the tension in the interface and prevents both prosthesis movement and loosening.

• Elongated distal portion: to provide better diaphyseal anchoring when surpassing the cortical lesions.

• Polished surface with rounded edges: Ensure correct adhesion to the cement, preventing the concentration of tension.
• Use: Cemented
