Surgibone

Multi-format bone substitute for fractures, osteotomies and bone defects

SURGIBONE characteristics:

SURGIBONE is a synthetic ceramic with calcium phosphate content designed to fill bone defects. Its composition includes a blend of tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite, very similar to the mineral phase of human bone.

Surgibone osseointegrates quickly thanks to its chemical composition, very similar to the mineral phase of bone, and its interconnected porosity, which enables total implant vascularisation.

The two-phase composition of Surgibone facilitates bone growth. Tricalcium phosphate dissolves faster than hydroxyapatite, improving the resorption rate and speeding up the formation of new bone.

Surgibone is available in 4 formats:

  • wedges
  • blocks
  • irregular granules
  • spherical granules.
