
The GENUTECH® system for primary knee arthroplasty has been designed by a distinguished group of experts in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology to provide a combination of optimum resistance, mobility, fixation and durability.
Its use is directed at those patients that have adequate bone stock and correct stability to varus/valgus.
The PS GENUTECH® Non Cemented Femoral Component has been intelligently designed for surgery where it is decided not to conserve the Posterior Crossed Ligament, introducing the following innovations:
a. Optimization of contact between the patellar channel and patella through several methods:
• Looking for maximum articular suitability between the channel and the patella, therefore minimizing tension between them and considerably reducing the risk of wear.
• Increasing depth channel which aids guiding and contact.
• Orientating the patellar channel in accordance with the anatomic morphology.
• Interline maintenance philosophy.
b. Anatomic Femoral Components to aid implant adaptation to the anatomic morphology after surgery.
c. Calculation of the Posterior Stabilized system by optimizing a lever-type (pole) system which allows flexion of 140º.
d. Minimization of intercondylar box in order to maximize bone stock.
